No
The device description and intended use describe a physical guidewire and do not mention any software, algorithms, or data processing capabilities that would suggest the use of AI or ML. The "Mentions AI, DNN, or ML" and "Mentions image processing" sections are explicitly marked as "Not Found".

No
The device is a trackwire used to facilitate the navigation and placement of catheters. It does not exert a therapeutic effect on the patient.

No
The device, an "IVT 0.014" PTFE-Coated Trackwire," is indicated for "facilitate the navigation and placement of angioplasty interventional catheters." This describes a therapeutic or interventional function, not a diagnostic one.

No

The device description clearly describes a physical wire with specific dimensions, materials (PTFE coating, radiopaque coil), and physical properties, indicating it is a hardware device.

No, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • IVD Definition: In Vitro Diagnostics are medical devices used to perform tests on samples taken from the human body (like blood, urine, tissue) to provide information about a person's health. These tests are performed outside of the body.
  • Device Description and Intended Use: The description and intended use of the IVT 0.014" PTFE-Coated Trackwire clearly indicate it is a device used within the body during a medical procedure (facilitating the navigation and placement of catheters in coronary and peripheral vessels). It is a physical tool used for intervention, not for analyzing samples.

The information provided about the device's physical characteristics, intended use in the body, and performance testing (biocompatibility and physical performance) are all consistent with an invasive medical device, not an IVD.
