No
The device, a powdered vinyl patient examination glove, is intended to prevent contamination between patient and examiner, not to treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent disease or affect the structure or function of the body.

No
The device is described as a glove worn on the hand or finger to prevent contamination, which is a barrier function rather than a diagnostic one. There is no mention of it being used to identify or analyze medical conditions.

No

The device is a physical product (gloves) and the description focuses on material standards and performance studies related to physical properties, not software functionality.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is "worn on the examiner's hand or finger to prevent contamination between patient and examiner." This describes a barrier device used for protection during physical examination, not a device used to examine specimens derived from the human body for the purpose of providing information for diagnosis, monitoring, or treatment.
  • Device Description: The description is for a "powdered vinyl patient examination glove," which is a physical barrier.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The document does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
    • Analyzing biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
    • Detecting specific analytes (proteins, DNA, antibodies, etc.)
    • Providing diagnostic information

IVDs are devices used in vitro (outside the body) to examine specimens from the human body. This device is used in vivo (on the body) as a protective barrier.
