The summary describes a mechanical fixation device (plates and screws) and makes no mention of AI or ML technology.

Yes

Explanation: The device is intended for fixation in various foot arthrodeses and osteotomies, which are therapeutic interventions to correct or stabilize anatomical structures.

No
Explanation: The device is described as a fixation device used for various arthrodeses and osteotomies with plates and screws, rather than for diagnosing medical conditions.

No

The device description explicitly states it consists of physical components (plates and screws) made of stainless steel, indicating it is a hardware medical device.

No, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • IVD Definition: In Vitro Diagnostics are medical devices used to examine specimens taken from the human body (like blood, urine, tissue) to provide information about a person's health.
  • Device Description and Intended Use: The CHARLOTTE™ CLAW® 3.5 is a surgical implant (plates and screws) used for fixation of bones in the foot. It is used in the body, not to test samples from the body.

The information provided clearly describes a surgical device for orthopedic fixation, not a diagnostic test performed on biological samples.
