Not Found

No
The summary describes a standard medical glove and explicitly states "Not Found" for mentions of AI, DNN, or ML, as well as for details related to training/test sets and performance studies typically associated with AI/ML devices.

No
The device, a powdered nitrile blue glove, is intended for preventing contamination between a patient and examiner, not for treating a disease or condition.

No

Gloves are barrier devices used for protection, not for diagnosing medical conditions. The "Intended Use" clearly states it's to "prevent contamination between patient and examiner."

No

The device description clearly states it is a "POWDERED NITRILE BLUE EXAMINATION GLOVE," which is a physical hardware device.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is to prevent contamination between patient and examiner by being worn on the hand. This is a physical barrier function, not a diagnostic test performed on samples taken from the body.
  • Device Description: It's described as an "examination glove," which is a physical barrier device.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: There is no mention of:
    • Analyzing samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
    • Detecting or measuring substances in samples
    • Providing information for diagnosis, monitoring, or screening based on sample analysis.

IVDs are devices used to perform tests on samples taken from the human body to provide information about a person's health. This glove does not fit that description.

Dear Mr. Lee:

We have reviewed your Section 510(k) premarket notification of intent to market the device referenced above and have determined the device is substantially equivalent (for the indications for use stated in the enclosure) to legally marketed predicate devices marketed in interstate commerce prior to May 28, 1976, the enactment date of the Medical Device Amendments, or to devices that have been reclassified in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (Act) that do not require approval of a premarket approval application (PMA). The general controls provisions of the Act include requirements for annual registration, listing of devices, good manufacturing practice, labeling, and prohibitions against misbranding and adulteration.
