No
The 510(k) summary describes an orthodontic adhesive and contains no mention of AI, ML, image processing, or any other technology typically associated with AI/ML in medical devices.

No
The device is an adhesive used for orthodontic appliance application and bonding, which is a material used in a therapeutic process but is not a therapeutic device itself.

No
The device, 3M™ Unitek™ APC™ Plus Adhesive, is an adhesive used for orthodontic appliance application and bonding. Its stated use is for treatment (bonding and application), not for diagnosing conditions.

No

The device description is not found, but the intended use clearly describes an "adhesive" for "orthodontic appliance application and bonding," which is a physical material, not software.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is "orthodontic appliance application and bonding for orthodontic treatment." This describes a procedure performed directly on a patient (in vivo), not a test performed on a sample taken from a patient (in vitro).
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
    • Analyzing biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
    • Providing diagnostic information about a disease or condition
    • Using reagents or assays

The device is an adhesive used to attach orthodontic appliances to teeth, which is a direct treatment application.
