Device Story
Instant-View Pregnancy Combo Dip-Strip Test is a single-use, qualitative, chromatographic immunoassay; detects human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in human urine or serum samples. Operates via lateral flow sandwich immunoassay format using anti-hCG antibodies. Intended for professional and laboratory use; healthcare providers visually interpret results. Presence of control line (C) validates test; presence of test line (T) indicates positive result. Sensitivity threshold is approximately 25 mIU/ml (calibrated against WHO 3rd IS 75/537). Provides rapid pregnancy status confirmation to assist clinical decision-making.
Clinical Evidence
Clinical evaluation conducted in a clinical lab and three physician offices by personnel with diverse educational backgrounds. Study demonstrated 100% correlation with expected results and 100% agreement with the predicate device.
Technological Characteristics
Lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay; sandwich complex format (anti-hCG antibody/hCG/anti-hCG antibody). Qualitative visual readout. Sensitivity: 25 mIU/ml (calibrated to WHO 3rd IS 75/537). Single-use dip-strip/cassette format.
Indications for Use
Indicated for the qualitative detection of hCG in human urine and serum to aid in the early diagnosis of pregnancy in professional and laboratory settings.
