MammoGRIP aids in positioning during radiologic visualization of the breast.
Device Story
MammoGRIP is a non-medicated, 0.1% benzalkonium chloride foam solution applied to a technician's hands. The solution creates a slightly tacky surface while damp, improving the technician's grip on dry breast tissue to facilitate optimal positioning within the mammography machine's field of view. It is used in clinical settings by radiology technicians during standard mammogram positioning. The device benefits the patient by assisting in accurate breast positioning for radiologic visualization.
Clinical Evidence
Bench testing only. Biocompatibility testing performed per ISO 10993-10, including Intracutaneous Injection Test (Irritation) and Kligman Maximization Test (Sensitivity). Radiolucency demonstrated. Lot-specific verification includes pH, appearance, odor, and benzalkonium chloride content.
Technological Characteristics
Non-medicated 0.1% benzalkonium chloride foam solution. Radiolucent. Non-sterile. Biocompatibility verified per ISO 10993-10.
Indications for Use
Indicated for use as a positioning aid during mammography procedures to assist in breast tissue placement.
Regulatory Classification
