Indications for Use

Device Story

RUBY Intravascular Catheter is a sterile, single-use, radiopaque peripheral catheter (20-gauge, 1.30-inch length). Device features a catheter guiding element with an atraumatic tip for percutaneous insertion. Hub includes an integrated blood control valve that automatically activates upon needle retraction to prevent blood flow until a luer connection is secured. Used in clinical settings by healthcare professionals for short-term (<30 days) vascular access. Compatible with power injectors. Clinician inserts device, retracts needle, and connects to fluid/monitoring systems. Valve mechanism reduces blood exposure risk during insertion.
