Device Story

Sonnet Polypectomy Snare is a monopolar electrosurgical instrument for endoscopic polypectomy. Device comprises 240cm catheter, proximal handle, and braided stainless steel wire loop attached to stainless steel drive-wire. Loop is extendable and retractable from catheter distal tip. Handle includes active cord connection for electrosurgical unit interface. Used by clinicians during endoscopic procedures to excise polyps. Device functions by capturing tissue within wire loop and applying electrosurgical current to perform resection. Benefits include effective tissue removal during endoscopy.
