## Indications for Use

JEM Series Endotracheal Tube Changers provide a simple, rapid technique for changing endotracheal and orotracheal tubes, with specific inside diameters. JEM Series Endotracheal Tube Changers are intended for single patient use. This device is intended for sale by or on the order of a physician.

## Device Story

JEM Series Endotracheal Tube Changers are extruded high-density polyethylene tubes with open lumens and graduated markings; used by physicians in clinical settings to assist in the rapid replacement of endotracheal or orotracheal tubes. The device acts as a guide during the exchange process; the clinician inserts the changer to maintain airway access while the old tube is removed and a new tube is placed. The device is size-specific to match the inside diameter of the endotracheal tube being used. Benefits include a simplified, rapid technique for airway management, potentially reducing the time required for tube replacement and improving patient safety during the procedure. The device is for single-patient use.

## Clinical Evidence

No clinical data provided; bench testing only.

## Technological Characteristics

Extruded high-density polyethylene; open lumen design with graduated markings. Size-specific (non-interchangeable) models ranging from 2.5 mm to 7.5 mm I.D. Sterilization via ethylene oxide. Standalone mechanical device.

## Regulatory Identification

A tracheal tube is a device inserted into a patient's trachea via the nose or mouth and used to maintain an open airway.
