No
The 510(k) summary describes a standard examination glove and contains no mention of AI, ML, image processing, or any other technology typically associated with AI/ML in medical devices.

No
The device is described as a glove intended to prevent contamination between patient and examiner, which is a barrier function, not a therapeutic one.

No
Explanation: The device is described as a glove worn to prevent contamination between a patient and examiner. There is no mention of it being used to diagnose any condition or disease.

No

The device description clearly states it is a physical product (gloves) and does not mention any software components.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use clearly states the device is a "patient examination glove...worn on the examiner's hand or finger to prevent contamination between patient and examiner." This describes a physical barrier device used for infection control, not a device used to examine specimens from the human body to provide information for diagnosis, monitoring, or screening.
  • Device Description: The description "Powder-Free Synthetic Vinyl Examination Gloves" further supports the understanding of a physical barrier device.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The document lacks any mention of:
    • Analyzing biological specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
    • Providing diagnostic information
    • Using reagents or assays
    • Image processing, AI, or machine learning (which are sometimes associated with advanced IVDs)

Therefore, this device falls under the category of a medical device used for infection control, not an in vitro diagnostic device.
