No
Explanation: The device is a surgeon's glove, intended to protect a surgical wound from contamination, which is a protective function, not a diagnostic one.

No

The device description clearly identifies it as a physical surgeon's glove, not a software application.

No, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is to protect a surgical wound from contamination by being worn by operating room personnel. This is a physical barrier function, not a diagnostic test performed on samples taken from the human body.
  • Device Description: It's a surgeon's glove, which is a medical device used for protection and hygiene during surgery.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
    • Analyzing samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
    • Detecting or measuring substances in samples
    • Providing information for diagnosis, monitoring, or screening

Therefore, based on the provided information, this device clearly falls under the category of a general medical device used for protection, not an in vitro diagnostic device.
