No
Explanation: The device description states its purpose is to allow paraplegics to be in a standing position in a wheelchair and improve circulation, which are functional and therapeutic benefits, not diagnostic. There is no mention of the device being used to identify, measure, or monitor a medical condition.

No

The intended use and device description clearly describe a physical wheelchair, which is a hardware device. There is no mention of software as the primary or sole component.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • IVD Definition: In Vitro Diagnostics are medical devices used to perform tests on samples taken from the human body (like blood, urine, or tissue) to provide information about a person's health.
  • Device Description: The description clearly states the device is a "Liberator wheelchair" used for paraplegics to assist with standing and movement. This is a physical assistive device, not a device that analyzes biological samples.
  • Intended Use: The intended use focuses on mobility, circulation, and reducing skin issues, all of which are related to physical support and positioning, not diagnostic testing.

The information provided describes a medical device, but it falls under a different category than In Vitro Diagnostics.
