No
The 510(k) summary describes a standard surgical glove and contains no mention of AI or ML technology.

No
The device is a surgical glove, intended to protect a wound from contamination, not to treat a condition or disease.

No
Explanation: The device, a surgical glove, is intended to protect a surgical wound from contamination, not to diagnose a condition or disease.

No

The device is a surgical glove, which is a physical hardware device made of synthetic rubber. The summary describes a tangible product, not software.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use clearly states the device is a surgical glove intended to be worn by operating room personnel to protect a surgical wound from contamination. This is a physical barrier function, not a diagnostic test performed on samples taken from the body.
  • Device Description: The description confirms it's a surgical glove.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
    • Analyzing samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
    • Detecting or measuring substances in samples
    • Providing information for diagnosis, monitoring, or screening

IVDs are devices used to perform tests on samples taken from the human body to provide information about a person's health. A surgical glove does not fit this definition.
