No
The provided 510(k) summary contains no mention of AI, ML, image processing, or any other technology typically associated with AI/ML in medical devices. The description focuses solely on the intended use of the device for dental restorations.

No
The device is used for esthetic restorations, which is a dental procedure for cosmetic or structural repair, not typically considered a therapeutic treatment for a disease or condition.

No
Explanation: The intended use states that Vitalescence is used for "esthetic restorations," which indicates a therapeutic or restorative purpose, not a diagnostic one.

No

The provided text describes a material (Vitalescence) used for dental restorations, which is a physical substance, not software. The summary lacks any mention of software components or functions.

Based on the provided information, no, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is for "direct and indirect esthetic restorations in anterior and posterior sections." This describes a material used for dental procedures, not a test performed on biological samples to diagnose a condition.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
    • Analyzing biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
    • Providing diagnostic information
    • Detecting or measuring substances in the body
    • Being used in a laboratory setting

The description clearly points to a material used for dental restorations, which falls under the category of medical devices used for treatment or repair, not diagnosis.
