No
The 510(k) summary describes a dental restorative material and contains no mention of AI, ML, image processing, or any other technology typically associated with AI/ML in medical devices.

No.
The intended use states it is a "restorative material," indicating it's used to repair or replace dental structures, not for therapeutic treatment of a disease or condition.

No
The device is described as a "Dental Ceramic Fused-to-Metal Restorative Material," indicating it is used for restoration and not for diagnosing conditions.

No

The intended use clearly describes a "Dental Ceramic Fused-to-Metal Restorative Material," which is a physical material, not software.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is "Vintage HALO is a Dental Ceramic Fused-to-Metal Restorative Material." This clearly describes a material used in the body for dental restoration, not a device used outside the body to examine specimens from the body.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description lacks any mention of analyzing biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.), diagnostic purposes, or any of the typical components or functions of an IVD.

IVDs are devices used to examine specimens taken from the human body to provide information for diagnostic, monitoring, or screening purposes. A dental restorative material does not fit this definition.
