The provided 510(k) summary contains no mention of AI, ML, image processing, or any other technology typically associated with AI/ML in medical devices. The intended use and device description (though not found) do not suggest AI/ML functionality.

No
The device is used for "preprosthetic build-up," which is a preparatory step for a prosthetic, not a direct therapeutic intervention to treat a disease or condition.

No

The "Intended Use / Indications for Use" states "For preprosthetic build-up in combination with zirconium oxide root canal post", which describes a device used for restorative procedures, not for diagnosis.

Unknown

The provided 510(k) summary is incomplete and lacks a device description, making it impossible to determine if the device is software-only.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use "For preprosthetic build-up in combination with zirconium oxide root canal post" describes a dental procedure performed directly on a patient's tooth.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: IVD devices are used to examine specimens (like blood, urine, or tissue) in vitro (outside the body) to provide information about a patient's health. The provided information does not mention any such use or analysis of biological samples.

The description points towards a dental material or component used in a restorative procedure, not a diagnostic test performed on a sample.
