The QP-932E Exercise Test Option is an optional accessory for the Nihon Kohden Cardiofax, Model ECG-9320A Electrocardiograph. The QP-932E will develop a report based upon acquired data and subsequent calculations.
More Information

No
The document explicitly states "Not Found" for mentions of AI, DNN, or ML, and the description focuses on standard ECG signal processing and calculations.

No.

The device is used for diagnostic purposes by processing and displaying electrical signals from the heart, not for treating any condition.

Yes

Explanation: The device processes electrical signals from the heart to produce a visual display and record, which are used to assess the heart's electrical activity. This information is used by a physician to understand the patient's condition, which is a diagnostic purpose.

No

The device is described as an "optional accessory" for a physical electrocardiograph device (Nihon Kohden Cardiofax, Model ECG-9320A). While it performs software functions (processing signals, developing reports), it is explicitly tied to and dependent on the hardware of the parent device.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use clearly states that the device processes electrical signals from electrodes placed on the body to produce a visual display and record of the heart's electrical activity. This is a direct measurement of physiological signals from the patient, not an analysis of samples taken from the body (like blood, urine, or tissue).
  • Device Description: The description reinforces that it's an accessory for an electrocardiograph, which is a device used for in-vivo measurement.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: There is no mention of analyzing biological samples, reagents, or any of the typical components associated with in vitro diagnostics.

Therefore, the QP-932E Exercise Test Option, in conjunction with the parent device, is an in-vivo diagnostic device used for electrocardiography during exercise testing.
