No.
The device is described as a digital all-cotton tampon for feminine hygiene, used to absorb menstrual and other vaginal discharges, which is a hygienic product, not one intended for therapy, treatment, or diagnosis of a disease or condition.

No
The device is described as a "digital all-cotton tampon for feminine hygiene" used to "absorb menstrual and other vaginal discharges." Its intended use is absorption, not diagnosis of any condition.

No

The device description clearly states the product is a "digital tampon of 100% peroxide bleached virgin cotton," which is a physical, hardware component.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is "digital all-cotton tampons for feminine hygiene" and to "absorb menstrual and other vaginal discharges, when inserted in the vagina." This describes a device used for absorption and hygiene within the body, not for testing or analyzing samples outside the body to diagnose a condition.
  • Device Description: The description confirms it's a tampon made of cotton for absorption of vaginal discharges. This aligns with a personal hygiene product, not a diagnostic tool.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description does not mention any components or functions related to:
    • Analyzing biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
    • Detecting specific substances or markers
    • Providing diagnostic information

IVD devices are used to perform tests on samples taken from the human body to provide information about a person's health, such as diagnosing a disease or monitoring a condition. This device does not fit that description.
