The device is a dental cement used for various dental restorations, which is a material used in therapy rather than a therapeutic device itself.

No
The "Intended Use / Indications for Use" section describes the device as a cementation material for various dental restorations (inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, posts). This function is for direct treatment (cementing dental prosthetics), not for diagnosis or detection of diseases or conditions.

No

The provided text describes a dental cement, which is a physical material, not a software-only device. The description focuses on its intended use for cementing various dental restorations.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use describes the device as a cement for various dental restorations (inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, posts). This is a material used in vivo (within the body) for structural purposes, not for testing samples in vitro (outside the body) to diagnose conditions.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
    • Analyzing biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
    • Detecting or measuring substances in those samples
    • Providing information for diagnosis, monitoring, or screening of diseases or conditions.

Therefore, Meron Plus QM is a dental cement used for restorative procedures, not an in vitro diagnostic device.
