The document describes a resin glaze for dental restorations and contains no mention of AI, ML, image processing, or any other technology typically associated with AI/ML in medical devices.
No.
The device is described as a "RESIN GLAZE" used to glaze restoration surfaces, which is a material used in dentistry, not a device that directly treats or prevents disease or affects the structure/function of the body. Its intended use is for temporary glazing of dental materials.
No
Explanation: The device, SHOFU RESIN GLAZE, is described as a material to temporarily glaze restoration surfaces, which indicates a treatment or maintenance function rather than a diagnostic one. It does not mention identifying diseases, conditions, or states of health.
No
The device description is not found, but the intended use describes a material (glaze) applied to dental restorations, which is a physical substance, not software.
Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).
Here's why:
- Intended Use: The intended use describes the temporary glazing of various dental restoration surfaces. This is a process performed on materials outside of the human body, not on biological samples or specimens taken from the body for diagnostic purposes.
- Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
- Analyzing biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
- Providing diagnostic information about a patient's health status
- Detecting or measuring substances in biological samples
The device appears to be a dental material used in the fabrication or finishing of dental prosthetics.
