Not Found

No
The device is a dental cement and the summary contains no mention of AI, ML, image processing, or any other technology typically associated with AI/ML in medical devices.

No
This device is a dental cement used for permanent cementing procedures and does not involve therapy for a disease or condition.

No
The device, DuoCem, is indicated for permanent cementing applications, which are treatment procedures, not diagnostic ones.

No

The device is a dental cement, which is a physical material and not software. The "Not Applicable (Dental Cement)" entries throughout the summary confirm its nature as a physical product.

Based on the provided information, DuoCem is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use of DuoCem is for the permanent cementing of dental restorations (crowns, inlays, onlays) and root posts. This is a therapeutic/restorative application, not a diagnostic one.
  • Device Description: While the description is "Not Found," the intended use clearly indicates a material used in the body for structural support and attachment, not for testing samples outside the body.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description lacks any mention of analyzing biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.), detecting specific analytes, or providing diagnostic information about a patient's health status.

IVDs are devices used to examine specimens derived from the human body to provide information for diagnostic, monitoring, or compatibility purposes. DuoCem's function is to physically bond dental components, which falls outside the scope of IVD activities.
