The summary describes a standard LED dental curing light and makes no mention of AI or ML capabilities.

No.
The device is used for the polymerization of dental materials, not for treating a disease or condition in a patient.

No
The device is described as a "dental curing unit utilizing visible light programmed for the polymerization of light curing materials," which is a treatment function, not a diagnostic one.

No

The device is described as an "LED Curing Light GT-2000," which is a physical dental curing unit utilizing visible light. This description clearly indicates a hardware device, not software only.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is to polymerize light curing dental materials. This is a physical process applied to materials outside the body, not a diagnostic test performed on biological samples.
  • Device Description: While not found, the description of its function (polymerization of dental materials) clearly indicates a therapeutic or restorative function, not a diagnostic one.
  • No mention of biological samples: IVDs are designed to test biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) to provide information about a patient's health status. This device works on dental materials.

Therefore, the "LED Curing Light GT-2000" is a dental device used in the treatment process, not a diagnostic device.
