No
The 510(k) summary describes surgical gloves and does not mention any AI or ML technology.

No.
The device is a surgical glove intended for protection from contamination, not for treating a disease or condition.

No.
The device description states its purpose is to protect a surgical wound from contamination, indicating a protective rather than diagnostic function.

No

The device is described as surgical gloves, which are physical hardware, not software.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is to protect a surgical wound from contamination by being worn by operating room personnel. This is a physical barrier function, not a diagnostic test performed on samples taken from the body.
  • Device Description: The description is of surgical gloves with specific material and thickness, designed for physical protection and radiation attenuation.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
    • Analyzing samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
    • Detecting or measuring substances in samples
    • Providing information for diagnosis, monitoring, or screening

IVDs are used to perform tests in vitro (outside the body) on samples to provide information about a person's health status. Surgical gloves, while important for patient safety, do not perform this function.
