Not Found

No
The summary describes a nasal mask for CPAP/bi-level therapy and contains no mention of AI, ML, or related concepts like image processing or performance studies typically associated with AI/ML devices.

Yes
The "Intended Use" section clearly states "intended for use with CPAP or bi-level therapy," which are therapeutic interventions for respiratory conditions.

No
The device is described as a nasal mask for CPAP or bi-level therapy, which are treatment modalities, not diagnostic procedures. There is no mention of it being used to identify or determine the nature of a disease or condition.

No

The summary describes a "Nasal Mask," which is a physical hardware component used in CPAP/bi-level therapy. It does not mention any software as the primary or sole component.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is "for use with CPAP or bi-level therapy." This describes a device used for delivering respiratory therapy, not for testing samples from the human body to diagnose or monitor a condition.
  • Device Description: While the description is "Not Found," the intended use is the primary indicator of whether a device is an IVD.
  • Other Information: The lack of mentions of image processing, AI/ML, input imaging modality, training/test sets, performance studies, and key metrics further supports that this is not an IVD. These elements are commonly associated with IVD devices, especially those involving analysis of biological samples or medical images.

IVD devices are specifically designed to examine specimens derived from the human body (like blood, urine, tissue) to provide information for the diagnosis, monitoring, or treatment of a disease or condition. A nasal mask for CPAP/bi-level therapy does not fit this definition.
