No
The summary describes a device that delivers light therapy based on pre-programmed treatments, with no mention of AI or ML capabilities.

Yes
The device is intended to provide infrared light therapy for the temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain, arthritis, muscle spasm, relieving stiffness, and promoting relaxation of muscle tissue, which are all therapeutic purposes.

No

The device is intended for therapeutic purposes (light therapy for pain relief and muscle relaxation) by elevating tissue temperature, not for diagnosing medical conditions.

No

The device description explicitly states it consists of a "hand unit with diodes," indicating a physical hardware component that delivers the therapy.

Based on the provided information, the Biolight Biodynam Device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use clearly states that the device provides infrared light therapy for topical heating to relieve pain and stiffness. This is a therapeutic application, not a diagnostic one.
  • Device Description: The description focuses on the delivery of light therapy.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
    • Analyzing biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
    • Detecting or measuring substances in biological samples
    • Providing information for diagnosis, monitoring, or screening of diseases or conditions

Therefore, the Biolight Biodynam Device falls under the category of a therapeutic device, not an in vitro diagnostic device.
