No
The provided 510(k) summary contains no mention of AI, ML, image processing, or any other technology typically associated with AI/ML in medical devices. The intended use and anatomical site descriptions point towards a dental restorative material, not a diagnostic or analytical device that would likely incorporate AI/ML.

No
The device is used for dental restorations and fissure sealing, which are procedures to treat dental issues rather than to provide therapy for a disease or condition in the broader medical sense typically associated with therapeutic devices.

No
The 'Intended Use / Indications for Use' section describes restorative procedures (filling cavities, sealing fissures) rather than detecting or diagnosing conditions.

Unknown

The provided 510(k) summary lacks a "Device Description" section, which is crucial for determining if the device is software-only. The intended use describes dental restorations, which typically involve physical materials and procedures, making it unlikely to be a software-only device. However, without a device description, a definitive determination cannot be made.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use describes the restoration of teeth and dental procedures. This is a direct treatment or repair of a physical structure within the body.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: An IVD device is used to examine specimens derived from the human body (like blood, urine, tissue) to provide information for diagnosis, monitoring, or screening. The provided information does not mention any such use or interaction with bodily specimens for diagnostic purposes.
  • Anatomical Site: The anatomical site is teeth, which are treated directly, not analyzed as a specimen.

Therefore, the device described is a dental restorative material or device used for direct treatment, not an in vitro diagnostic device.
