No
The summary provides no information suggesting the use of AI or ML. The intended use and lack of mentions of AI/ML, image processing, or performance studies related to algorithmic analysis point away from AI/ML involvement.

No
The device is a substructure for dental restorations, which is a structural component and not directly involved in treating disease or health conditions.

No
The device is described as a substructure for dental restorations (crowns and bridges), which is a treatment component, not a diagnostic tool used to identify a disease or condition.

No

The provided 510(k) summary describes a "substructure for porcelain fused ceramic fixed dental restorations," which is a physical component used in dentistry, not a software-only device.

Based on the provided information, the device "BK BLANK" is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use clearly states that it is a "substructure for porcelain fused ceramic fixed dental restorations; namely crowns and bridges." This describes a material used in the fabrication of dental prosthetics, which are medical devices used in vivo (within the body).
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
    • Analyzing samples from the human body (blood, urine, tissue, etc.).
    • Providing information about a physiological or pathological state.
    • Being used for diagnosis, monitoring, or screening.

Therefore, based solely on the provided text, BK BLANK is a dental material used for creating restorations, not a device used for in vitro diagnostic testing.
