The provided text does not contain any keywords or descriptions related to AI or ML technology.

No
The device is described as being for the "fabrication of short and long term temporary crowns and bridges." This indicates it's a material or component used in a restorative dental procedure, not a device directly applying therapy to a patient.

No
The "Intended Use / Indications for Use" states the device is for "fabrication of short and long term temporary crowns and bridges." This describes a therapeutic or restorative function, not a diagnostic one. There is no mention of identifying, detecting, or measuring a medical condition or disease.

No

The intended use describes the fabrication of physical crowns and bridges using "Direct Crown shell teeth," which are hardware components. The summary does not mention any software functionality.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is for the fabrication of temporary crowns and bridges using shell teeth. This is a dental restorative process, not a diagnostic test performed on biological samples in vitro (outside the body).
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
    • Analyzing biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
    • Detecting or measuring substances in biological samples
    • Providing information for diagnosis, monitoring, or screening of diseases or conditions

The device is clearly intended for a dental fabrication process, which falls under the category of medical devices used for treatment or restoration, not diagnosis.
