No
Explanation: The device is indicated as a ceramic veneering material for dental restorations, which is a treatment material, not a diagnostic tool.
No
The summary describes a ceramic veneering material for dental restorations, which is a physical material, not software.
Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).
Here's why:
- Intended Use: The intended use is for "ceramic veneering material (full or partial) of a metal substructure" as part of a dental restoration. This is a material used in the body (or on a dental prosthesis that will be in the body), not a test performed on a sample taken from the body to diagnose a condition.
- Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
- Analyzing biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
- Detecting or measuring substances in biological samples
- Providing diagnostic information about a patient's health status
IVDs are devices used to perform tests on samples taken from the human body to provide information for the diagnosis, monitoring, or treatment of diseases or conditions. This device is a dental material used for restorative purposes.
