No
Explanation: The device described is an examination glove, intended to prevent contamination between patient and examiner. It does not perform any diagnostic function such as detecting, identifying, or monitoring diseases or conditions.
No
The device description clearly indicates it is a physical product (gloves) and does not mention any software components.
No, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).
Here's why:
- IVD Definition: In vitro diagnostics are tests performed on samples taken from the human body, such as blood, urine, or tissue, to detect diseases, conditions, or infections. They are used to provide information for diagnosis, monitoring, or screening.
- Device Intended Use: The intended use of this device is clearly stated as a "powder-free patient examination glove...worn on the examiner's hand or finger to prevent contamination between patient and examiner." This is a barrier device used for infection control during physical examination.
- Lack of Diagnostic Function: The device does not perform any tests on biological samples, nor does it provide any diagnostic information about the patient's health status.
Therefore, based on the provided information, this device is a medical device used for barrier protection, not an in vitro diagnostic device.
