No
The summary describes a dental impression material system and does not mention any software, algorithms, or data processing that would indicate the use of AI or ML.

No
The device is described as an impression material system used to create dental impressions, which is a diagnostic and manufacturing tool rather than a device intended to treat or cure a disease or condition.

No
Explanation: The device is an impression material system used for creating dental impressions, which is a preparatory step for dental prosthetics or orthodontics, not for diagnosing medical conditions.

No

The device description clearly states it is a "dental impression material system" which is a physical material (paste/paste system) and not software.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is for creating dental impressions, which are physical molds of teeth and oral structures. This is a mechanical process for capturing anatomical information.
  • Device Description: The device is described as a "dental impression material system" consisting of a two-part paste. This aligns with materials used for physical impressions, not for analyzing biological samples.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: There is no mention of analyzing biological samples (like blood, urine, tissue, etc.) or providing diagnostic information based on such analysis. IVDs are designed to perform tests on samples taken from the human body to provide information about a person's health.

Therefore, StandOut 2 is a dental material used for creating physical impressions, not a device for in vitro diagnostic testing.
