The device is a patient examination glove, and the summary contains no mention of AI, ML, or any related technologies.
No.
The device is a patient examination glove used to prevent contamination, not to treat a disease or condition.
No
Explanation: The device, a patient examination glove, is described as preventing contamination between patient and examiner. Its purpose is protective, not to diagnose medical conditions or provide information about a patient's health status.
No
The device description clearly states it is a physical product (gloves) and does not mention any software component.
No, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).
Here's why:
- Intended Use: The intended use clearly states the device is a "patient examination glove" worn on the hands to prevent contamination. This is a physical barrier device used during patient examination.
- IVD Definition: In vitro diagnostics are tests performed on samples taken from the human body (like blood, urine, or tissue) to detect diseases, conditions, or infections. They are used outside the body (in vitro).
- Device Description: The description confirms it's a glove, not a test or analytical device.
- Lack of IVD Characteristics: There is no mention of analyzing samples, detecting biomarkers, or providing diagnostic information based on biological samples.
This device falls under the category of a medical device, specifically a barrier device, but not an in vitro diagnostic device.
