No
The summary describes a dental impression material, which is a physical substance, and there is no mention of any computational or analytical capabilities, let alone AI/ML.

No
The device is described as "Alginate Impression Material III... used as dental impression material," which is a diagnostic tool for creating impressions, not a therapeutic agent for treating a condition.

No
Explanation: The device is an alginate impression material used for dental impressions, which is a material used to create a mold, not to diagnose a condition.

No

The intended use clearly describes a physical material (alginate impression material) used in dentistry, which is a hardware component, not software.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is "as dental impression material." This is a material used to create a physical mold of teeth and oral structures.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The description does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
    • Analyzing samples from the human body (blood, urine, tissue, etc.).
    • Providing information about a patient's health status, diagnosis, or disease.
    • Using reagents or other substances to perform a test.

Dental impression materials are considered medical devices, but they fall under a different classification than IVDs. They are used for mechanical purposes (creating a mold) rather than for diagnostic testing of biological samples.
