No
A patient examination glove is intended to prevent contamination, not to provide therapy.
No
A patient examination glove is intended to prevent contamination, not to diagnose a medical condition.
No
The device is a physical examination glove, which is a hardware medical device, not software.
Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).
Here's why:
- Intended Use: The intended use clearly states the device is a "PATIENT EXAMINATION GLOVE" worn on the hand or fingers to prevent contamination. This is a physical barrier device used during patient examination.
- Device Description: The description confirms it's a "DISPOSABLE POWDER FREE VINYL SYNTHETIC EXAM GLOVES." This further reinforces its nature as a physical barrier.
- Lack of IVD Characteristics: IVD devices are used to examine specimens derived from the human body (like blood, urine, tissue) to provide information for diagnosis, monitoring, or screening. The provided information does not mention any interaction with such specimens for diagnostic purposes.
Therefore, this device falls under the category of a medical device used for barrier protection, not an in vitro diagnostic device.
