No
The summary describes a standard electrosurgical generator with basic functions (cutting, coagulation, monopolar/bipolar modes) and does not mention any features or components related to AI or ML.

No.
The device uses electrical current for cutting and coagulating tissue during surgery, which is typically a surgical tool rather than a therapeutic treatment in itself.

No
The device description indicates it is an electrosurgical generator used for cutting and coagulating tissue during surgery, which are therapeutic functions, not diagnostic ones.

No

The device description explicitly lists hardware components such as a generator, foot switch, and power cord, indicating it is not software-only.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use clearly states that the device is used to "provide a high frequency (HF) electrical current for cutting and coagulating tissue during open and endoscopic surgeries." This describes a device used on a patient during a surgical procedure, not a device used to test samples from a patient in a laboratory setting.
  • Device Description: The description details a surgical generator, footswitch, and power cord, all components of a surgical instrument. There is no mention of reagents, assays, or sample handling equipment typically associated with IVDs.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The document does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
    • Analyzing biological samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
    • Detecting or measuring substances in samples
    • Providing diagnostic information based on sample analysis

Therefore, the Autocon II 200 Electrosurgical Generator is a surgical device, not an In Vitro Diagnostic device.
