The device is used for endodontic therapy, which is a treatment for a disease or disorder of the tooth.

No
Explanation: The device is described as a "root canal filling resin used for endodontic therapy to fill the root canal of a tooth," indicating it is a therapeutic device, not a diagnostic one.

No

The device description clearly states it is a "root canal filling resin," which is a physical material, not software.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is to "fill the root canal of a tooth" for endodontic therapy. This is a direct treatment applied to the patient's body, not a test performed on a sample taken from the body to diagnose a condition.
  • Device Description: The description is for a "root canal filling resin," which is a material used in a surgical procedure.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: The information does not mention any of the typical characteristics of an IVD, such as:
    • Analyzing a sample (blood, urine, tissue, etc.)
    • Providing diagnostic information
    • Using reagents or assays

Therefore, Fiberfill AGP is a medical device used for treatment, not an in vitro diagnostic device.
