No
The 510(k) summary describes standard examination gloves and contains no mention of AI or ML technology.

No
The device, "Textured Powder-Free Latex Examination Gloves," is described as preventing contamination between patient and examiner. Its stated "Intended Use" explicitly focuses on preventing contamination and does not mention any therapeutic benefit or medical treatment.

No
Explanation: The device is described as an examination glove intended for preventing contamination, not for diagnosing any medical condition.

No

The device description clearly states it is a "disposable device" and "worn on the examiner's hand," indicating a physical, hardware-based product (gloves). There is no mention of software as the primary or sole component.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is to prevent contamination between patient and examiner by being worn on the hand. This is a physical barrier function, not a diagnostic test performed on a sample taken from the body.
  • Device Description: The description is for examination gloves, which are a physical barrier device.
  • Lack of IVD Characteristics: There is no mention of analyzing samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.), detecting specific substances, or providing diagnostic information about a patient's health condition.

IVD devices are used to examine specimens derived from the human body to provide information for diagnostic, monitoring, or screening purposes. This device does not fit that description.
