Not Found

No
The summary describes a mechanical insufflation needle and contains no mention of AI, ML, image processing, or data analysis that would suggest the use of such technologies.

No
The device is used to establish pneumoperitoneum for endoscopic procedures, which is a preparatory step rather than a direct therapeutic intervention.

No
The device is described as an insufflation needle used to establish pneumoperitoneum for endoscopic procedures, which is a preparatory step for observation/intervention, not a diagnostic one.

No

The intended use describes a "Pneumoperitoneum Insufflation Needle," which is a physical medical device used in endoscopic procedures. This is not a software-only device.

Based on the provided information, this device is not an IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic).

Here's why:

  • Intended Use: The intended use is to establish a pneumoperitoneum during endoscopic procedures. This is a surgical/procedural device used directly on a patient's body, not for testing samples in vitro (outside the body).
  • Device Description: While the description is "Not Found," the intended use clearly points to a procedural device.
  • No Mention of IVD Activities: There is no mention of analyzing biological samples, detecting substances, or providing diagnostic information based on testing samples.

IVD devices are used to examine specimens derived from the human body (like blood, urine, tissue) to provide information for diagnosis, monitoring, or screening. This device's function is purely procedural to facilitate an endoscopic examination.
