Intended Use
HL168JD uses the oscillometric method to automatically measure systolic and diastolic blood pressure as well as heart rate. The measurement position is at human being's wrist. All values can be read out in one LCD panel. The device is designed for home use and recommended for use by adults aged 18 years and older with wrist circumference ranging approx. 5.3 ~ 7.7 inch (135 ~ 195 mm).
Device Story
Wrist-worn oscillometric blood pressure monitor; measures systolic/diastolic pressure and heart rate. Device uses automatic air pump for cuff inflation and controlled valve for deflation. User places device on wrist; device automatically processes pressure oscillations to calculate BP and heart rate; results displayed on integrated LCD panel. Intended for home use by adults. Provides numerical output to assist users in monitoring blood pressure trends. Benefits include convenient, non-invasive self-monitoring of cardiovascular metrics.
Clinical Evidence
Clinical validation performed per European Society of Hypertension International Protocol (2002) for adult blood pressure measurement. Device also demonstrated compliance with ANSI/AAMI SP10:2002/(R) 2008 and AAMI/ANSI/ISO 81060-2:2009 standards. Results confirmed predetermined acceptance criteria were met.
Technological Characteristics
Oscillometric measurement principle; automatic inflation/deflation. Materials: ABS housing, rubber keys. Dimensions: wrist cuff 135-195 mm. Power: 2x AAA alkaline batteries. Connectivity: None. Software: Embedded firmware for signal processing. Standards: IEC 60601-1, IEC 80601-2-30, ISO 10993-1/5/10, ISO 14971.
Indications for Use
Indicated for adults aged 18+ with wrist circumference 135-195 mm for automatic measurement of systolic/diastolic blood pressure and heart rate via oscillometric method at the wrist in a home setting.
Regulatory Classification
Identification
A noninvasive blood pressure measurement system is a device that provides a signal from which systolic, diastolic, mean, or any combination of the three pressures can be derived through the use of tranducers placed on the surface of the body.
